Seducing Summer (The Four Seasons #1)

Seducing Summer

This is the first book in The Four Seasons series by Serenity Woods and I must say this is a brilliant start to what is going to be a fantastic series. This is my first time reading a book by Serenity Woods as well as by an author from New Zealand and I was really impressed with her writing style and knowledge of the different cities in New Zealand. My favorite aspect of the book was the steaming hot chemistry between Gene and Callie because the intimate scenes were written so well that it even made me feel hot and bothered. I personally loved the fact that Serenity had made the CEO in the book a female because generally in these office romances have an alpha male in the business role. Callie's character was well conceived as she was independent and successful, but at the same time she was also someone who understood women's needs which lead to her forming her own lingerie company with her best friends. The dual narrative of the book allowed the reader to get more depth of both the story and the characters. Serenity writing style was flawless and her secondary characters were well written.  The one downfall of the book was that the middle of the book seemed to drag. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to read the rest of the series.

Rating: 4/5
