License to Date (Better Date than Never #6)

License to Date

I have always been a fan of Susan Hatler, especially the short romances in this particular series and this is by far my most favorite book in the Better Date than Never series. Susan's writing style was fun and flawless, but I did wish the book was dual point of view so we could get to know Paul's character a bit better.  I loved Paul's character because he was such a sweet romantic guy, but I did wish that he did not lie to Katlin. I found Katlin's character a bit annoying because she was going on dates just so she can get a free paint job and she was getting guys hopes up for nothing. The chemistry between Paul and Katlin was sweet and romantic and I really enjoyed it, but I did wish that the book was longer as I was really enjoying the story. Overall this was great short and sweet romance which will leaving you feeling warm and happy.

Rating: 4/5

Plot

The Unintended Fiance (Captured by Love #4)

The Unintended Fiance

This was my second time reading a book by this author in this series and I would recommended this to anyone who wants a short and sweet romance to read. The dual writing style by Miranda was good and it allowed you to understand both characters better.  I loved Erin's character because she was not afraid to demand what she wanted as well as she was willing to sacrifice for the man she loved. Brad's character was enjoyable, but I wish I saw a more possessive side of him. The chemistry between Brad and Erin was good, but I wished we saw more of it. The story was  a bit cliche and predictable, but it is a good romance to read in your spare time.

Rating: 3/5

Plot

Bradley Mead is a successful businessman who arranges a fake engagement with one of his good friends so that he can prove to a potential client that he is not after his wife.

Catching Cassidy (Harborside Nights #1)

Catching Cassidy

I am a huge fan of Melissa Fosters books and characters, but his book disappointed me a bit as it did not live up to Melissa's addicting novels which I am used to. Melissa's writing was brilliant as always and I enjoyed the dual point of view writing style. I loved Wyatt's character because he was an an alpha male protecting his best friend and sister at all times. Cassidy's character was annoying because she always let everyone walk over her especially her ex boyfriend and her parents and it took her very long to understand what doe she want from life. When I read Melissa Foster's books I know I am getting to get scorching hot chemistry between the main characters, but in this book the chemistry was good but was not up to Melissa's standards. I also felt that the book should have been more focused on Wyatt story rather than Cassidy's problems because the grief that Wyatt had to get over with the sudden death of his parents was much more than Cassidy and her cheating boyfriend and selfish parents. The secondary characters of Delilah and all of their friends was well conceived and set up the platform for the rest of the series. Overall this was a good book, but as a fan of Melissa Foster it did not meet my expectations as I am used to much better work from her.

Rating: 3/5

Never Kiss a Stranger (Never #1)

Never Kiss a Stranger

I generally never read books about step siblings, but I had decided to take a chance and try it out and this books really disappointed me with it's poor plot and annoying characters. It was my first time reading a book by Winter Shaw and I found her writing average and it definitely was not able to completely hold my attention. Wilder's character was an alpha male only in the bedroom because he just let people walk all over him and it annoyed me that he could not keep to his side of the bargain of not falling in love. Then there was Addison's character who was a selfish control freak who let her shady mother dictate her love life and I hated how she kept on telling Wilder that this has to be last time for like three times and for someone who likes rules and control she gave in very easily. The chemistry between Addison and Wilder was average and the intimate scenes were rushed and barely there. The family angel annoyed me as well because Addison's sister was more interested in her career than her sisters happiness. Overall this was a disappointing short novel which had very irritating characters.

Rating: 2/5

Plot

Addison Andrews is a workaholic real estate broker who has no time for relationships, so she decides to pick a man from a dating app for a night of pleasure. The guy she chooses is Wilder and his profile is blank, but he looks hot and perfect for a one night stand.

There is one problem, that Wilder is now her new stepbrother and if anyone found out about them it would ruin her reputation and family. Wilder does not care about the consequences because he wants Addison and will do  anything to have her.

Kiss the Sky (Calloway Sisters #1)

Kiss the Sky

I was absolutely addicted to this book because it was so unique and intriguing and I was unable to put the book down because it was refreshing to read a different type of love story. It was my first time reading a book by Krista and Becca Ritchie and I really enjoyed their dual point of view writing style as well as the ease at which they discussed such important issues. I loved Connor's character because he was an alpha male who protected his girlfriend and her family, he was also intelligent and not impulsive as well as he was able to calm a room down with his presence. Rose's character was childish and impulsive at times which made her annoying especially when she never wanted to ask for help when it was needed. The secondary characters of Lily, Loren, Ryke and Daisy were well written as well as out of the box and I really enjoyed seeing their personalities come out during the reality show. The chemistry between Connor and Rose was explosive and I loved how they built up their relationship by being friends first and I adored the fact that they always challenged each other intellectually. Overall this was a brilliant book,  filled with  a unique story, loads of drama, scorching hot chemistry and relatable  characters.

Rating: 4.5/5

Marry Me Again

Marry Me Again

I had many expectations from this book based on the synopsis that I had read and I was really disappointed because the story did not flow well and at parts the book got really annoying. Ryan's character I felt was very childish especially with the wanting to get married so quickly and expecting Kara to fall back into his arms straight away. Also for a person who is meant to be a genius he never really thought through his actions and its consequences. Kara's character was just annoying because she had no back bone and just went running back to the man who broke her heart as well as she was going into a marriage where she knew something was very wrong and just for the sake that she did not want to be alone. I also did not like Matt's or Kara's mothers character because they just believed the worst of Ryan even though they knew him for so long. The only good thing about this book was the steaming hot chemistry between Ryan and Kara and this was the sole reason I completed the book. Overall this was a predictable second chance which lacked a good story and characters.

Rating:2/5

Plot

Kara has always been in love with her brothers gorgeous best friend, but when he disappears just after proposing to her she is left completely heartbroken. The Kidnapped Christmas Bride (Taming of the Sheenans #3)

The Kidnapped Christmas Bride

I have read quite most of the books in the series and I had really enjoyed them so when I had found this book on Amazon I was very happy to read it and I must say that this book did not disappoint at all. It had the family theme that has been carried throughout the series as well as the sweet romance of reunited lovers. Jane's writing was flawless and she manages to make me fall in love with her well written characters. Trey's character was your typical protective male who loves his girl and his son beyond measure and I really enjoyed that his whole back story was given and that he was willing to become a better man. McKenna's character was a strong, independent single mom who was dealt more than her share of troubles and pain, but the fact that she was not going to let anyone separate a father and son is what I loved most. The chemistry between the two characters was good and I enjoyed seeing them as a family during the magical time of Christmas. I would have liked a bit more drama in the book as well as to see her brothers and jilted grooms reaction to her being kidnapped. Overall this was a sweet and magical romance about a family reuniting during Christmas.

Rating: 3.5/5

Plot

Trey Sheenan has the the reputation of being Marietta's resident bad boy, until one day when things go horribly wrong and he loses his freedom, fiance and baby boy.
