The Cowboy's Virgin (Whiskey Hill Ranch #1)

The Cowboy's Virgin

This is the story of family enemies falling in love and trying to fight the odds to be together. It was my first time reading a book by Emerson Rose and I really enjoyed her dual point of view writing style as well as her funny captions before each chapter. I loved Beau's character because he was sweet and charming, but at the same time he had all the alpha male qualities the I love in my male characters. Charlotte's character was that of a submissive who did what everyone told her to do and the only time she stood up for herself was against her parents. The chemistry between Beau and Charlotte was extremely hot and definitely my favorite part of the book. I also enjoyed the inclusion of Alzheimer's disease and diabetes because it made the characters and their problems more realistic. I did wish that there was more drama in the book and the family feud part of the story was explored a bit more. Overall this was a great read of enemies turning into lovers with explosive chemistry between the lead characters.

Rating: 3.5/5

Plot

Charlotte Deardon was raised to hate Beau Hill as their families have been in a 100 year long family feud. But when a tornado tears through Deardon ranch destroying everything that Charlotte's family owns, she is forced to approach the one man who can help.

Charlotte is shocked when Beau offers to help her family, but the conditions are that she will have to live with him and work for him. Even though she is attracted to Beau, she knows she should not fall for him and she should definitely not give him her virginity.
