Resisting the Boss
This was my first time reading a book by Whitney G and I absolutely loved the story and her great writing style. I don't generally read books about older people with children, but I did enjoy this mid life love book. Jonathon character has the alpha male characteristics that I love, but sometimes I felt that he was steam rolling Claire into doing things she did not want as well as that he was a billionaire who did not seem to care about his business or money as he was just making changes and spending money for the woman he was sleeping with. I also felt that he did not care about his sister or his family once Claire came into the picture which I found annoying .I felt that Jonathon did not fight for Claire and demand that she stay when it counted the most and that he was always asking more of Claire than he was ready to give. Claire's character was of a lady who is having a mid life crisis, but for someone who was meant to be mature it was irritating she gave into Jonathon's demands and she kept on playing games with Jonathon due to her insecurities. The chemistry between Claire and Jonathon was mind blowing and it was what kept me hooked on the book. Overall it was a good book and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Claire Gracen is a brilliant marketing director who believes she has the perfect life, until she finds out that her husband has been cheating on her with her best friend. Broken and depressed Claire decides she needs to move to a new city, job and make new friends.
Claire is attracted the most sexiest man she has ever seen, but when she finds out that he is younger than her she refuses to go out with him only to later discover that he is her boss Jonathon Statham, the CEO of Statham Industries.
Jonathon is unlike any other man Claire has ever met and he always get what he wants, so he is not going to take no for an answer.
