Betting on You is a light an easy read based on second chance romance. This is not much to say about this book because i is the same old story of two lovers breaking up when they were younger only to realize later on life that their perfect life partner is the one whose heart they broke many years ago. There is nothing special or unique about this story or the characters which resulted  in the reader not being able to connect with the characters. Lark was not strong enough to stand her ground because she forgave Mason way to easily.  Mason was the typical man who believed that even after breaking someones heart that he could return and say sorry and everything will then go back to the way it was in the past. The chemistry between Lark and Mason was okay, but nothing spectacular. Overall this was an average book that can be read to pass time, but I would like to read the next book as I am looking forward to discovering what is the story with Aria and Nash.

Plot

Lark March believes she has gotten over Mason Stewart and the horrible thing he did to break her heart four years ago, that is until she sees him at her best friends wedding. Mason looks even better and talks even sweeter than before, and Lark realizes that he still affects her badly.

He manages to convince Lark to give him seven dates to show her why they belong together, at the end of the week Lark might kick him out of her life forever, but his is betting that true love will win.

Through Larks meddling sisters an old secret comes to light and Mason and Lark's love is tested all over again, will they be able to get their happily ever after?

This is the second book in the Beachwood Bay romantic series and it can be read as a stand alone. I actually remember reading Unbroken a long time ago and I had enjoyed Emerson's and Juliet's story, therefore I took a chance and read this book and I must say that Melody did not disappoint. She managed to keep the charm of the summer town Beachwood Bay alive in this book and I loved the journey of the characters and their growth throughout the book. Hunter was the rich golden boy who had anything one could want in life, but it is true when they say you never know what demons a person in fighting in their everyday life. Hunter's life had seemed perfect from the outside, but he was battling with the pressure from his parents as well as the guilt from a dark secret which has been eating him alive. Brit was a strong character, and I loved that she did not care what people thought about her and she lived her life the way she wanted. I really enjoyed watching Brit grow as a character especially her being able to fight her insecurities  in order to be with the man she has always loved. The chemistry between Hunter and Brit was off the charts, but at the same time I loved how Hunter took the time to gain Brit's trust by showing her what real romance is. This was a great series and I am really becoming a fan of Melody Grace's work.

I cannot begin to even describe this book it was that magnificent and unique, I actually finished reading this masterpiece yesterday and I have not been able to stop thinking about this book and it's characters. This book is a tear jerker  filed with every emotion you can think off from love to pain to humor and even jealousy . I am generally someone who does not enjoy sad books, but this book was so addicting that I could not put it down and was even reading at work. I am generally someone who does not like a past and present style of writing, but the authors used the style so well that you could not stop reading because you wanted the answers to all your questions. I loved the chemistry between Drew and Cate because their romantic scenes made you all dreamy, but at the same time their intimate scenes made you all hot and bothered.  This book was unlike any other book I have read, it was so emotionally charged that you went through a roller coaster with the characters, you actually felt every emotion that they did and I think that is what made it such a brilliant book.  I do not want to give anything away especially with the big twist at the end, but I can say this a must read book that is not for the faint hearted.

Unspoken (Woodlands #2)

Unspoken

Unspoken is the second book in the Woodlands series, but can be read as a standalone just like I did. This was my first time reading a book by Jen Frederick and I enjoyed the characters and their development throughout the book as well as I loved that she chose to base her book on the relevant topic of bullying and its consequences. AnneMarie character was a great example of how bullying can affect a person's life and I liked the fact that she did not leave campus due to it, but I did find that she was weak at some points when she refused to carry on living her college life as normal. Bo was a strong character with some crazy daddy issues which resulted in him not believing in himself or his ability to get over his past. I loved the alpha male side of Bo, but I did not enjoy the fighting as a release of anger. The chemistry between Bo and AM was scorching hot and the intimate scenes were well written.  The beginning of the book was excellent and the story of two people trying to overcome their past really drew me in, but towards the end of the book it began ti drag and I felt the book getting boring and it became difficult for me to complete, however I did like the addition of the 10 and 18 years later chapters. I enjoyed the dual point of view style of writing, but I did find many typos in the beginning of the book which really annoyed me. Overall this was a good book with a captivating story and I would definitely want to read the rest of the series.

AM was everything that Bo didn't know he needed or wanted.  The more he spends time with her the more he wants her, but he knows AM has been hurt in the past and he does not want to be the one to break her completely.

Barefoot with a Bodyguard is a romantic story filled with suspense and set on the magical beaches of Barefoot Bay.  This was my second time reading a book by Roxanne St. Claire and I really enjoy her addition of mystery and danger into the books, however I did not enjoy that the story was written with more than two point of views as it sometimes made it very confusing and difficult to read. I enjoyed Alec's character because he did not just give into his dark past, he actually fought to become a better person. Kate's character was kind of annoying especially her whole whining about not wanting be controlled by a man and at the first chance she got she went back into her old patterns. The chemistry between Kate and Alec was steaming hot and I enjoyed watching Alec trying to fight his attraction towards Kate. I loved all the drama going on in the book especially towards the end as it made the book more interesting because towards the middle it had gotten slow and boring which resulted in me taking longer to finish the book. Overall this is a good book and I would definitely be interested in reading the rest of the book.

Plot

Alec Petrov is a mixed martial arts trainer who has been on the run from the  deadly Russian mafia since he was a teenager. Protecting a young attorney in a tropical paradise is not a bad way to get of the grid of the Russian mafia. Kate ends out bring a tender and caring side of Alec that was never seen before. Alec begins to find it difficult to keep his hands off Kate while staying in close quarters, but that is only half the challenge as he has to fight to keep them both safe as well.

I am a huge fan of Melissa Foster and I always love her books and her characters and I am glad that this book did not disappoint. This is the second book in the series and is based around forbidden love and family loyalty. I loved Rex's character because of his alpha male behavior as well as his loyalty towards his family. Jade's character was well written and I enjoyed her independence and willingness to make it on her own. It was great seeing Treat and Max from the first book and seeing how their love story progress. The chemistry between Jade and Rex was scorching hot and it added a great element to the book. I also enjoyed the mystical story of the two dancers and Rex's mother having a hand into getting Rex and Jade together. I did feel at times that the book was going to slow at times and it did take me time to finish the book. Overall it was a great read and I am loving the series.

This is a family story based on two famous brothers who find out after their fathers death that they have a half sister who has inherited millions of dollars from their father. I really think hat this book had a lot of potential in terms of plot line, but due to poor execution it had failed to hit the mark. This was my first time reading a book by Faleena Hopkins and personally I did nit enjoy her writing because firstly I spotted spelling errors which is a big no no in my book and secondly I disliked that there were so many different point of view in the book because at times it made it confusing and difficult to read.  I had initially liked Rue's character because she had a strong back bone and was living as an independent girl supporting herself, but as as the book went on I found myself  beginning to hate her because she became immature especially when she was throwing tantrums and she let the fact that she is now rich change her personality.  Jack's character was also very immature because he was willing to go to any extent to try and hurt his innocent half sister. I enjoyed Sean's character because he was sweet and caring as well as the protective brother who did not like to flaunt his wealth or waste money. Alec's character to me seemed very confused half the time because he was always trying to fight his attraction to Rue and I hated that he did not stand up for her against Jack. I would have like to see more substance in Alec's character because I felt like we hardly knew him. The chemistry between Alec and Rue was poor because their relationship was not given as much importance in the book as it should have. The book was more about the brothers which I felt could have been made into a series where each of the brothers got their own book with their own stories.
